Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Jiayun (Lucy) Zhang is a Scenic Designer, Production Designer, and Costume Designer based in Los Angeles. In 2025, she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a BA in Theatre Scenic Design/Production with a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media.

 

Jiayun merges academic rigor with hands-on craftsmanship, passionate about transforming conceptual visions into theatrical worlds. Her work is rooted in a deep appreciation for cultural storytelling, informed by her upbringing in Shanghai and refined through her training in Los Angeles. Whether designing evocative sets for stage, or curating dynamic production elements, she approaches each project with precision and a collaborative spirit.
